Teen Aquatic Safety Program (T.A.S.P.): Empower Your Teen's Pool Experience with Essential Water Safety Education

Discover Pelican Bay’s Teen Aquatic Safety Program (T.A.S.P.), a crucial step for teens aged 12-15 seeking to enjoy our pools without an adult with them. T.A.S.P. offers an engaging curriculum focused on water safety knowledge and facility etiquette, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all. Participants learn pool rules, how to behave in and out of the water, the role of the lifeguards and other staff, and foster a positive relationship with employees.

After completing this class, youth gain the ability to be dropped off at the facility unsupervised. This ensures that staff have parental contact information on file in case of a medical emergency or disciplinary issue. Swimming unsupervised as a TASP teen is a privilege, and breaking the pool rules can result in that privilege being revoked, without a refund.
