About Pelican Bay Aquatic Center

Edmond’s Pelican Bay Aquatic Center is a state-of-the-art municipal leisure pool that is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. It includes two 150-foot water slides, a current channel, and a slide splash pool for plenty of ways to have fun in the water.

Kids love the playground featuring automated sprays, a water playground and a vortex ensuring there’s something for every age and ability level.

The center also has bathhouses and a concession area at the Pelican Bay Cafe Snack Bar for when you get hungry from all of the swimming and sun.

Pelican Bay is a municipally-owned aquatic center and can be rented for private parties. There’s no better place for a summertime celebration

Important Notice

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) and must stay at the facility for the duration of the visit.

Children ages 13-15 must register and complete the Teen Safety Aquatic Program (T.S.A.P.) to be able to be left unaccompanied at the facility during open swim times.

Acceptable forms of payment are cash and debit and credit cards of the following type: VISA, MASTERCARD, AND AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS.

We will also accept APPLE PAY and GOOGLE PAY. Checks and gift cards are NOT an acceptable form of tender. No refunds will be issued.

General Manager

Marina has been leading Pelican Bay’s daily operations for the last 3 years, with 15 years of experience in aquatics and programming. She has worked for the YMCA and for Oklahoma City area Parks and Rec Departments as a City Special Event Coordinator. She is a certified Aquatics Facility Operator and Lifeguard Instructor for the American Red Cross. 

Marina has done tremendous work for Pelican Bay in these last 3 years and has really improved the quality of service and programs in the park. She has a lot more planned for the years ahead.

“I love seeing all of our visitors come in and have a great time. This is what drives me to go after pool improvements and more program offerings to our community.”, Marina stated. “My number one priority is the safety of our visitors and I lead this facility with this in mind. I have a lot planned for the upcoming season and can’t wait to make these plans a reality”, she added.

Pelican Bay Aquatics is now looking for Lifeguards and concessions/park staff to join our team this season.

Lifeguards are all CPR/AED certified and trained in American Red Cross standards.

They are here to promote safety and fun for all attending the waterpark.

policies & pool procedures

Our policies and procedures are in place to keep our facility clean and safe. Please review our policies prior to your visit!

Aquatic Center Rules:

  1. No one is allowed in the pool without a lifeguard on duty.
  2. Swimmers must take a shower before entering the pool.
  3. Proper swimming attire is required: cut offs, leotards, biking tights, etc. are not permitted.
  4. Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet trained patrons.
  5. Patrons must be 48” to be able to go down the slides.
  6. We are not responsible for lost or stolen property.
  7. No running, dunking, pushing, sitting on shoulders, or other forms of horseplay.
  8. All bags will be checked upon entering the facility.
  9. The only floatation devices permitted are coastguard approved lifejackets.
  10. Noodles, barbells, and other equipment are permitted provided they are being utilized as part of a structured activity.
  11. Toys are not allowed.
  12. No public displays of affection, profanity, or any inappropriate language.
  13. At the discretion of the lifeguard, any swimmer may be asked to demonstrate their swimming ability to determine if they are able to use the designated areas of the pool.
  14. Lifeguards are in place for your safety, show respect by following all lifeguard instructions.
  15. Pelican Bay staff reserve the right to remove any patrons from the facility for inappropriate behavior and not following the rules.
  16. No outside food or drinks, except bottled water.
  17. No coolers are allowed.
  18. Persons with infectious conditions or communicable diseases such as colds, open sores, the flu, eye infections, are not permitted in the pool.
  19. Smoking, vaping, tobacco products, drugs, weapons, or alcohol are all strictly prohibited.
  20. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) inside the Aquatic Center, and the adult must stay at the facility the entire time.
  21. Children ages 13-15 must register and complete the Teen Safety Aquatic Program (TSAP) to be able to be left unaccompanied at the facility during open swim times.

Lazy River Rules:

  1. No jumping into or climbing out of the river.
  2. Lifejackets are permitted, only with adult supervision.
  3. No hanging on the side wall of the river.
  4. No one is permitted on the south deck area near the guard stand.
  5. No climbing on walls or islands in the river.
  6. Water depth is 3ft 6 in.

Slide Rules:

  1. All riders must be 48” tall to ride.
  2. No objects in pockets or jewelry are to be worn while riding.
  3. Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation is prohibited.
  4. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instruction from the slide attendant.
  5. All riders must ride their feet first while lying on their back. No riding on the stomach or head first.
  6. Riders should lie on their back with their arms crossed and their hands clasped behind their head, with ankles crossed.
  7. Only one rider is permitted at a time. No trains or chains of riders allowed.
  8. No tubes, mats, or lifejackets are permitted on the slide.
  9. Eyeglasses must be securely fastened to the rider with a head strap.
  10. Riders must be in good health. Pregnant women and/or individuals with heart or back conditions should not use this ride.
  11. Do not use this ride while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  12. Follow the instructions of the slide attendant.
  13. No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling, or stopping on the slide.
  14. No diving from the slide.
  15. Leave the catch pool promptly after entering.
  16. Water depth in the catch pool is 3 ft 6 in.
